Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:
A cold front will approach the area from the NW late tonight bringing cloudy skies overnight. Tomorrow this front will stall across the region sparking a few light snow/rain showers mainly North of I-70. Tomorrow night this front will be pushed North by a developing low pressure over Texas. This low will track NE toward our region overnight Friday night bringing in warm air at the surface. This will initially bring light snow/sleet and freezing rain as temperatures drop a bit early on then rise toward daybreak Saturday changing any frozen precipitation to plain rain by dawn. Temperatures Saturday will be mild with highs in the middle to upper 40s with rain showers at times. As this low passes to our NE it will drag a cold front across the region changing rain back to some snow late Saturday night and Sunday morning. Light snow accumulations could be possible. Stay tuned for further details on any advisories that may be needed.
The same cold front will continue to drape itself across our region through early next week. This means very cold air will be felt just to our NW and very mild air will be just to our SE. We will be in between these two air masses making for a battle ground of several lows. Precipitation types are to still be determined but any adjustment South in the cold front could mean significant snow or ice accumulations early next week.
