Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

Synopsis,
Skies will clear tonight allowing temperatures to fall into the lower teens by dawn. Tomorrow a southerly flow will develop ahead of an approaching low bringing temperatures up into the middle 30s. Initially a rain or rain/snow mix will develop by pm and then change to a wet snow/sleet combo by night fall lasting until midnight. Most areas will receive a quick 1 to 3 inches of wet snow with the highest totals closer to I-70 areas south will see mostly rain with some snow late. Little if any accumulation can be expected in these areas. Temperatures moderate behind this system with a quick rise into the 50s on Thursday ahead of an approaching cold front that will bring heavy rain of around one inch and possibly even a few thunderstorms. The potential for flooding may occur with snow melt, ice jams, and heavy rain.

Long range:
Behind the system on Thursday cooler air will settle in but remain milder than we have seen with temperatures at night in the 20s and 30s and during the day near 40 to 45. By late in the weekend and early next week it appears that we go back into a colder pattern with more systems that have the potential to bring snow. How cold is still to be seen. Stay tuned.
