CLOTHESLINE: George Strait boo'd, Madonna to honor Michael Jackson, LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian news

CLOTHESLINE: Airing Music City's Laundry--George Strait boo'd, a Rascal Flatts' wife returns to Playboy mansion, LeAnn Rimes & Eddie Cibrian, Desperate Housewives marries the mob and Madonna to honor Michael Jackson

While in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as part of their annual SummerFest concert event, country super star, George Strait's cheese head fans let out with a series of boos and hisses. The catcalls came, not because they were displeased with the legend's performance, but rather because of an image of Superbowl champs, the Dallas Cowboys, which was projected on a large screen during one of George's songs. Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough were also on the bill.

Speaking of Julianne, it was announced just last week that the dancer-turned-singer will now be adding actress to her ever increasing skill set, as she has been cast alongside Gossip Girls' Chace Crawford in next year's remake of Footloose.

Tiffany Fallon, former Playboy Playmate of the Year, and current wife of Rascal Flatt's Joe Don Rooney, was among the more than 500 guests in attendance at this weekend's wedding of Girls Next Door star, Kendra Wilkinson. Wilkinson, who gained notoriety as one of three live-in girlfriends to Playboy patriarch, Hugh Hefner, married Philadelphia Eagles' wide receiver , Hank Baskett at a ceremony on the grounds of the famed Playboy mansion.

LeAnn Rimes and songwriter Thom Schuyler paid a surprise visit to youngsters involved in a Vanderbilt camp for kids living with Williams Syndrome. While there, the duo posed for pictures, signed autographs and visited with the campers. Vanderbilt's Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development teams up annually with Blair School of Music and the National Williams Syndrome Association to host a music camp for youth suffering with the relatively unknown genetic disorder. Williams Syndrome is similar to autism and affects about one in 7,500.

In some related news, Rimes' former co-star and recent-rumor-mill companion, Eddie Cibrian has been cast as a regular in the upcoming season of CBS' hit cop show, CSI: Miami. When the show returns for it's eighth season, Cibrian will take up residence in Miami as a transferring officer from LAPD's Hollywood division. Now if only the star's wife could shut the heck up about LeAnn, the two might be able to get on with their lives...separately of course.

Still more casting news: Drea De Matteo, who recently became engaged to longtime love, Shooter Jennings, has been tapped to join the cast of Desperate Housewives. Drea, who gained popularity on the HBO series, The Sopranos, will move onto Wisteria Lane as the young matriarch of the Vitale family. The roles of husband Nick and son Dominic have yet to be cast.

ALSO ON THE CLOTHESLINE:

Before the untimely death last week of Michael Jackson, it was already rumored that pal, Madonna would make a special appearance during his planned This Is It tour in London and the UK. Madonna, who first met Michael back in the 80s is now rumored to be among the major stars considering taking part in a series of tribute concerts to the late King of Pop. Reports are swirling with details that the concerts, some saying the tributes will begin in September in LA, others indicating the star-studded concerts will be incorporated into the UK dates of Michael's previously scheduled tour.

Meanwhile, concert promoter AEG, the company in charge of marketing and ticket sales for Jackson's This Is It tour, has issued a statement indicating they will offer full refunds. AEG also indicated that those who wish to still receive the physical tickets, which Michael himself designed, may do so, but they will not receive any kind of reimbursement.  AEG sold nearly 1 million tickets for a reported $85 million. The tour was to begin on July 13.

George Strait, Blake Shelton and Julianne are 100 times better than Michael Jackson and Madonna will ever be - talent wise and as people young people can look up too. George doesn't do drugs, hes a family man - and I am so glad I'm a fan! Thanks George!
