After all of the fashion week festivities, the events gradually tapered-off and now are beginning to build some momentum again. With a few store parties here and there, including Levi’s downtown as well as the grand opening of Lane Bryant on 34th Street and clothing swaps, it is time to find get out and do some shopping and drink some wine!
Levi’s always seems to create the best jean for every kind of look for both men and women; simple cuts, easy tailoring and flattering design makes for some denim.
Over at the Lane Bryant store opening near Macy’s Herald Square, it was a thrill to see Jay from Project Runway being interviewed.
Lane Bryant has some cute looks for spring for curvy gals everywhere. One of the guests also had on the perfect pair of dark, dressy denim, instantly giving me a bad case of jean-envy, but it is great to see flattering printed dresses for gals that aren’t shaped like teenage-boys along with some very cutting-edge accessories at Lane Bryant as well as stylish clientele within the store.
Closet Dash also might have been the top-secret spot for fashionistas until now. This cozy, yet extremely organized second-hand, vintage, modern, consignment on the spot, trade, swap and shop store is a must for new looks for each season. The owner, Jen hand-picks each item personally on an appointment based time slot giving the customer store credit to use to shop within the store. All merchandise is color-coded and the Closet Dash is open daily except for Sunday.
If you reside outside of the NYC area, you too can browse the website and purchase goods online. In addition to these services, the store will have two upcoming swaps in March two Saturdays during the month from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Admission $10.00 through Eventbrite.

There is still time left to get your tickets to the NY Wine Expo at the Javits Center. Sample some of the best vineyards from all over the world. Personal favorites include: Wines of Spain, Portugal and Italy. Sample fresh produce and cheeses from Whole Foods.

FW may be over, but it is time to shed the winter coats and put on the cocktail dresses and strappy heels or some sexy jeans and enjoy a glass a wine this weekend!
