If all the hype proves true the Sandra Bullock and George Clooney-starring “Gravity,” is bound to be a blockbuster. It’s a don’t miss movie and it’s opening in 3 D this Thursday, October 3, locally at our very own TCL Chinese Theatre IMAS (www.chinesetheatres.com) with the first showing scheduled for 10 p.m.
According to a press release from the movie theatre, “Gravity,” which was written by Alfonso Cuarón & Jonás Cuarón, and produced by Alfonso Cuarón and David Heyman (the “Harry Potter” films) is the story of Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock), a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski (Clooney) in command. But on a seemingly routine mission, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalski completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
“Gravity” has been rated PG-13 for intense perilous sequences, some disturbing images and brief strong language. www.gravitymovie.com. We already bought tickets on line at www.chinesetheatres.com and you might want consider following suit as it will sell out fast.
