Clive Burr died last night in his sleep after suffering years with Multiple Sclerosis at age 56. Burr was known for his performing on Iron Maiden's first four albums, Iron Maiden, Killers, Maiden Japan and The Number of the Beast.
Early days of Iron Maiden brought up the ranks some of the strongest musicians. Former Samson drummer Clive Burr made his impact in Iron Maiden joining fellow frontman Bruce Dickinson helping the band to escalate to super stardom from the Number of the Beast album. Bruce Dickinson considered Burr "as being the best drummer the band ever had."
