Clippers forward Blake Griffin is on a tear averaging 30 points in the last five games including a 40 point, 10 rebound performance in the Clippers 98-90 win over the Utah Jazz Saturday night at Staples Center.
"I looked at the stat sheet after the game and I said, `Wow, he had 40.' I think his confidence right now is pretty high, and rightfully so," said Clippers point guard Chris Paul. "It's great to see how he's dominated games, whether he's taking jump shots, posting up or going to the free throw line. It's fun to watch. I wouldn't know how to guard him."
Griffin’s added the three-point shot to his arsenal. He’s connected on six of 16 from the three-point arc – a 38% clip. Griffin and Clippers head coach Doc Rivers discuss Blake’s three-point shooting in the video with this story.
The Phoenix Suns are led by former Clippers back-up point guard Eric Bledsoe who was traded to Phoenix in the off-season as part of a three-team deal that landed L.A. J.J. Redick and Jared Dudley.
Phoenix has won nine of its last 11 games. The Suns lead the league with 19 fast-break points per game. Bledsoe leads the way averaging 18 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals per game.
Tip-off is at 7:30.
