Clipper Darrell gives the state of Clipper Nation

This season the Los Angeles Clippers have emerged as one of the NBA's premier teams, and have been better than their hallway neighbors known as the Los Angeles Lakers.

When many watch the Clippers, they see and/or think of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan or even Chauncey Billups. But one man in particular who can be celebrated along with the recent success is one of the biggest Clipper fans on this planet, Clipper Darrell, aka Darrell Bailey. If you have every been to the Staples Center for a game, not only will you hear this mans enthusiasm, but you will also see it. In the form a a very vibrant half red and blue suit donning the Clipper colors.

While in Downtown Los Angeles, I had the great opportunity to speak with Clipper Darrell on a variety of subjects concerning all things Clippers.

Nick Hamilton (NH): What is the state of the Clippers at this point?

Clipper Darrell (CD): Well, 32-12, my prediction is 55-27. I still believe in that record, I believe that we'll make the Western Conference finals, and anything can happen after that. CP3 [Chris Paul] will take us to the promise land!

NH: With the Clippers losing some games, the injury to Chris Paul, the team is 5-8 without him, how concerned are you about this team?

CD: Not concerned at all. Chris Paul needs to rest his until All-Star break and so he can move on towards the playoffs. That way he will be back stronger than ever. We're fine.

NH: With the Clippers being the talk of Los Angeles and the NBA, what moves if any do you think need to be made to aid the Clippers to the Conference Finals?

CD: They don't need to make any moves, they have a quality team. We have a deep bench, and they chemistry is there. I just some guys may be tired, but when they come together as one, its' a beautiful thing, just unstoppable.

NH: Do you see Chauncey Billups coming back to the court at all this season?

CD: I can see Chauncey returning after All-Star break and he'll be ready to go.

NH: Who would you add or subtract from this year's All-Star team?

CD: Definitely I'd put Jamal Crawford on the team, he deserved it. I was really surprised that LaMarcus Aldridge made the team. But Jamal Crawford is our sixth man of the year right now, and I still believe that.

You can follow Clipper Darrell on Twitter @ClipperDarrell as he interacts with fans not just in person but on social media as well.

Once the Clippers return home from their Grammy Trip, be sure to catch Clipper Darrell at Staples Center during every Los Angeles Clippers home game. He's worth the price of admission.
