Every weekend on this column, I will add one video related to African-American entertainment known as the Clip of the Week--something to help make those blissful 48 hours away from the office that much better.
From Hattie McDaniel in 1939 to Beyoncé Knowles in 2010, the Clip of the Week is likely to feature scenes from film and television that you've loved for years. And maybe, a few clips you've never seen as well.
This first video is of Beyoncé Knowles, as she auditions for the role of Deena Jones in the 2006 musical "Dreamgirls." Beyoncé actually did a screen test for the film, studying the moves of Diana Ross and bringing her own wig to the audition.
