A 49-year-old mother, whose identity has not yet been released, was found dead in her home Saturday evening, the victim of foul play. The township police are investigating.

The woman’s body was discovered at about 7:00 p.m. yesterday inside her prefab home in the 38000 block of Rosedale Drive in Rudgate Clinton. That is near Groesbeck Highway and Metro Parkway.

Neighbors alerted authorities after they failed to see the woman for several days. The scene is still being processed.

According to Det. Capt. Richard Maierly, the woman is the victim of an apparent homicide, but said the cause of death has not yet been determined. An autopsy will be needed to make that call, he said Sunday.

The autopsy, to be performed Monday by Dr. Daniel Spitz, can also determine how long the woman was dead.

No one is in custody at this time.
