Clint Eastwood is fighting to deny his ex-wife Dina Eastwood alimony payments, according to a Dec. 20 TMZ report. The actor filed documents to ensure that his wife of 17-years gets no spousal support even though the couple has a prenup. The soon-to-be ex-wife filed for divorce from the legendary actor in October.
According to ET News, court documents show that in addition to seeking termination of the court’s ability to grant spousal support sought by his wife, the 83-old 3-yeactor is also seeking both joint and legal custody of their minor daughter Morgan. In what may turn out to be a bitter fight, both Eastwoods are seeking full custody of the 16-year-old.
ABC News reports that Dina recently opened up about her divorce on Bethenny Frankel’s talk show, “Bethenny.” Calling her ex’s behavior post-split “lovely,” the 48-year-old added, “I never thought it would happen to me. Nobody does.” The couple’s break-up hit her pretty hard. “I’m not a crier. I don’t get shaken up by things,” she said, adding that her goal is to “not cry three days at a time.” The audience showed support as she told them, “I think I’m on day four.”
She summarized her ex as a sweet, lovely guy. “He’s lovely, he hasn’t done much. It’s other people around him have done things that have blown me away and again my future ex-husband has done nothing [wrong],” she said. “He’s probably the sweetest guy I’ve ever met. He is the sweetest, he is a loving, kind, low-key person so my intuition was still great on marrying a good person.”
There is no word on Dina’s comments in light of her future ex-husband’s attempts to block spousal payments.
