NBA great and former Portland Trailblazer Cliff Robinson will be taking on a new role soon. On Jan. 22 KATU announced that the iconic basketball player has signed on to become a contestant for the next season of "Survivor."

Season 28 of "Survivor" is set to premiere on Feb. 26 and fans of the famous center will be able to catch him in action. Prior to his being cast in "Survivor: Cagayan," Cliff Robinson played 18 seasons in the NBA. He played eight seasons as a Portland Trailblazer. He also suited up for the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Detroit Pistons and New Jersey Nets.

It has been reported that the cast of "Survivor: Cagayan" will be split into three catagories: brains, beauty and brawn. No surprise, Robinson will be a member of the brawn group.

Cliff Robinson, 47, is also reportedly a fan of the show. No stranger to competition, he has said he looks forward to the competition and will certainly be playing his heart out.
