With Spike's VGX, formerly known as the Video Game Awards (VGAs), set for this weekend Geoff Keighley has been doing a lot of teasing about what's to come this weekend when the show airs on December 6 at 6 PM EST. "Excited that @timoflegend will be on stage with us at VGX to make a cool announcement," Keighley tweeted just minutes ago. And while that is exciting in and of itself, it's Cliff Bleszinski's response that raises all kinds of flags. "Geoff email me I have a last minute trailer if you have a slot," Bleszinski tweeted today.
The former Epic Games employee renown for his work on the Gears of War and Unreal Tournament franchises retired from the studio and has been working on his own since airing his mid-life crises throughout the Internet. It's been a very quite period with only pieces of images to tease exactly what is happening in his free time.
One thing's for sure, everyone will now be on the edge of their seat waiting, hoping that the time has finally come for Bleszinski to return to the spotlight.
Stay tuned for news this weekend, if an announcement is made we'll be the first to let you know.
