Discovering secrets that can improve and expand your cooking skills can refine the way you prepare foods and meals for your family. It’s great to learn of clever ways of making meals healthier and better for you.

Cooking techniques to try:

Grilling foods is one of the best cooking processes. Very little preparation is required. Oils and fats aren’t needed when grilling. Plus when the food is cooked any fat that is generated will simply drain from the food through the grates.

Stir-frying is another healthy way to cook. High temperatures are required to stir-fry which helps seal in all the vitamins and minerals. Very little oil is need in the wok since the food needs to move quickly during the stir-fry cooking action.

Another way to retain most of the nutrients in vegetables is to steam or microwave them instead of cooking them in water which reduces the nutrients you want from eating vegetables.
