Cleveland shares an intimate evening with Eric Benet

R&B singer Eric Benet, wowed Cleveland fans, when he played to a packed house at Mitchell's Ultra Lounge Saturday in Euclid, Ohio. Fans, came from as far as New York to see the legendary crooner. Flashing his trademark smile as he took the stage. Female fans, were smitten from his first note to his last. Eric got the night started with the steamy track "Chocolate Legs" and followed it up with his hit "Spend My Life With You (featuring Tamia)", that gained him, his first number one single and a Grammy nomination.

Although "Spend My Life With You" was released fifteen years ago. It has become a wedding anthem of sorts, and the impact that the song has had on his fans, is something that to this day humbles the R&B singer. Benet, shared the stage Saturday with his background singer Candice Boyd, who recently signed with Grammy-winner Ne-Yo. Show casing songs from his latest release THE ONE (2012). Benet performed the singles "Runnin" and “News For You”, this track pays homage to the likes of Marvin Gay, and Stevie Wonder with its "old school" feel. Benet kept the night rolling with more hits before closing out his hour long set with "Georgy Porgy" and "You're The Only One".

Theses days Eric Benet, has a lot keeping him busy. On top of plans to release his own CD later this year. Benet, is writing, producing and signing artist to his newly formed record label, Jordan House. He plans to share his twenty years of industry knowledge with them. All this, while balancing a new wife and child at home. Benet, admits that trying to balance work and family isn't always easy and requires a lot of sacrifices, and says "life on the road, conditions you to make the best of every moment when you are there".
