The production is directed by Melissa Therese Crum (who is the 2013/2014 Joan Yellen Horvitz Director Fellow). The show will take place in CPT’s Storefront Studio Theatre.

The show tells the story of the infamous “Brides in the Bath” murders that occurred in early 20th century England when three women were wooed, wed, insured and murdered by the same man. In this telling, the women emerge from the waters of their deadly baths to deliver a post-mortem testimony that is supplemented by traditional and original music that is performed a cappella. The music is composed and arranged by CPT’s 2014 Kulas Composer, Sam Fisher. Among the featured aspects of the work are the period costumes by Inda Blatch-Geib, antique bathtubs filled with water onstage with set design by Val Kozlenko and lighting by Ben Gantose that sets a haunting and evocative mood.
