Weekends through January 5

Bring the entire family for a truly unique event at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Each and every weekend there will be cool events both indoors and out at the Museum that will thrill and delight every member of your family. Ice sculpting, live animal shows and winter photo opportunities that are all free with Museum admission. There is also a special kid’s only holiday shop.

Upon entering the Museum be sure to pick up your sticker at the front desk as well as a scavenger hunt sheet at the welcome table in the lobby then let the fun begin.

Along with all the special programs, the Planetarium will be open during the entire day (tickets to the Planetarium may be purchased in advanced or at the ticket counter that day) and children can purchase holiday gifts for the adults in their lives at the Kids Only “Safari Shop” located in the Museum Store.

Be sure not to miss the Smead Discovery Center’s winter themed activities as well as a stop by the Blue Planet for a cookie and hot chocolate bar.

Hours of Operation

Monday through Saturday:
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Noon to 5:00 p.m.

Box office for phone calls and ticket sales: Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The Museum will close at 4 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
