Everything and the kitchen sink....that is how some people would describe their relatives or friends when they pack to go on a trip or to move to a new home. They take everything including the kitchen sink. That may not be a bad thing. Maybe the new house needs a kitchen sink. :) Anyway, other times, it may be an annoyance. In the case of the Cleveland Museum of Art, it is a very good thing.
I have always been curious as far as what is in their Gallery One. I found out recently. There are items from all parts of Europe and Asia including paintings, sculptures, vases, dishes, weaved items, and statues. What is the theme of Gallery One? "Anything goes" is what I would say the theme would be. Everything and the kitchen sink.... These works of art come from many different times and events in history. They are altogether in Gallery One; and they make a heck of a lot of sense being altogether in Gallery One. They compliment each other. I would like to say that there is one work of art that sums everything up, but I cannot. Hence, why there is not a photograph or a slide show with this article. These works are interwoven with one another. You will have to go and experience it for yourselves. Hopefully, you will see what I mean.
