Justin Masterson earned his first win of the spring pitching a flawless pair of innings and striking out one. Ubaldo Jimenez allowed just two and no runs hits while striking out two in his pair of innings pitched.

Offensively for the Indians, Yan Gomes and Matt Carson both hit their first home runs of the spring while Ryan Raburn continued his spring tear batting 2-3 on the day with an RBI. Gomes finished the day batting 2-2 with a total of five RBIs.

In more dismal news for Cleveland, left fielder Michael Brantley was taken to the hospital needing stitches in his left forearm after being stepped on by Oakland third baseman Josh Donaldson. Brantley’s status is listed as day-to-day.

The Indians return home to Goodyear on Tuesday to face off against the Kansas City Royals. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. EST.
