The Columbus Clippers came away victorious for the second straight game as they defeated the Indianapolis Indians by the score of 7-4 on Friday, April 5, 2013. With the win the Clippers improve to 2-0 on the season while the Indians fall to 0-2.

Jeremy Hermida homered for the second straight game to cap off his 2-4 day at the plate. Luis Hernandez also continued his strong start to the season batting 3-5 on the day.
On the mound, Clippers starter Corey Kluber allowed three runs on six hits in six innings pitched. He walked just one batter while striking out four.
Pittsburgh Pirates’ top pitching prospect Gerrit Cole had a rough day for the Indians giving up three runs on five hits through four innings. He did not issue any walks and struck out two on the day.
Columbus will continue their four-game series with Indianapolis on Saturday, as Daisuke Matsuzaka will take the mound facing off against Kyle McPherson.
