During that timeframe, Naquin extended his season-opening hit streak to 13 consecutive games, and has hit safely in 14-of-15 while batting .333 (21-63), with two doubles, 11 RBIs, and nine runs in three weeks of play. He is currently carrying a .421 average (8-19) against left-handed pitchers.
Naquin was drafted with the 15th overall selection by Cleveland in the 2012 First-Year Player Draft out of Texas A&M. He finished the 2013 season with Double-A Akron. He will represent the Saguaros (and Indians) in the Fall Stars Game at Surprise Stadium on Saturday. The game will be played at 7:10 p.m. ET and can be viewed nationwide on the MLB Network.
