Where can you see the latest art from local artist, Kate Atherton? An art gallery? Yes, at the Lee Road Branch of The Cleveland Heights - University Heights Library. The library, you say? I thought you went to the library just for books. Well, you can still go there for books. They have plenty of great books. But, they have plenty of great art too.
The Cleveland Heights - University Heights Library features Ms. Atherton's works this month through February 28th. In addition, they encourage other local artists to contact them about scheduling a six-week time slot to display their art in the computer area in the HKIC Building of the Lee Road branch. I had an opportunity recently to see this art. It is people drawn and painted in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Truly interesting and engaging.
Do not get me wrong, the art museums around here are pretty cool too. However, what if you want to see art one day and do not want to take a trip to a museum? What if you want to just curl up with a good book instead? Well, you can do that and see art at the Lee Road branch of The Cleveland Heights - University Heights Library.
