With the price of gas being what it is, why waste all that money and time traveling to have some late summer fun when everything you need is right here in North-east, Ohio. I am of course talking about the Great Cleveland Oktoberfest that will be Om-Pa-Pa-ing its way to the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in picturesque Berea, Ohio this Labor Day weekend, August 30th through September 2nd, 2013.
This is a great place to take the entire family as there is fun stuff geared for all ages. There will be all kinds of music to hear from authentic German music and bands to Disco Inferno as well as “Hotel California” Eagles Tribute Band will be here.
Of course, the real reason for the festival…THE FOOD AND BEER! The best in ethnic food featuring Cleveland Favorites like Der BrauMeister, Seven Roses and more. Come to the wiener dog (dachshund) races and root for your favorite. Gather at the Glockenspiel Clock as a living skit chimes each hour and the cast showers the crowd with gifts after every show. Browse through row after row of exhibitors and visit the International Center that showcases crafts, music and dance from around the world.
There is free parking everyday…all day. Admission is just $10.00, Children 12 and under will be admitted FREE ALL WEEKEND LONG.
The Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds is located in Berea, Ohio. Take I-71 to the Berea/Bagley Road Exit. Travel west less than one mile to the fairgrounds entrance.
