In addition to Waiters 21 points, Shaun Livingston added 13 points for Cleveland while Tristan Thompson added 12 points, Alonzo Gee scored 11 points, and Tyler Zeller scored a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Luke Walton led the reserves with nine points off the bench.

The Dallas reserves outshined the starters with Rodrigue Beaubois leading the scoring with 18 points. Both Brandan Wright and Darren Collison added 13 points off the bench. Among the starters, Dirk Nowitzki scored a double-double with 13 point and 11 rebounds while O.J. Mayo added 10 points.

Zeller was noticeably disappointed in the loss. In the post-game press conference he stated:

“The stupid turnovers kind of add up and the little things you just can’t afford to do and we have to get better. We just started to miss shots and they did a much better job at getting us off the boards. We just didn’t create opportunities the second half the way we did the first half.”
