Kyrie Irving missed his third straight game and Dion Waiters was held to just 17 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Los Angeles Clippers by the score of 105-89 on Friday, March 1, 2013. With the loss the Cavaliers drop to 20-39 on the season while the Clippers improve to 43-18.

Waiters led the Cavaliers in scoring with 17 points while Tristan Thompson recorded yet another double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Shaun Livingston contributed 10 points starting in place of the injured Irving. Off the bench, C.J. Miles added 16 points to lead the reserves.
Jamal Crawford led the Clippers in scoring racking up 24 points off the bench. Blake Griffin led the starters with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Chris Paul added 11 points and 15 rebounds in Los Angeles’ winning effort.
Coach Byron Scott was not overly critical of his team despite the loss when he stated in the post-game press conference:
“(That’s) a very good team we just lost to. I thought we came out sluggish for whatever reason. I thought we were soft on our heels. I thought the first play was kind of indicative of the whole game.”
