Kyrie Irving scored 24 points on the night as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Orlando Magic by the score of 119-108 on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. With the win the Cavaliers improve to 16-43 on the year while the Magic fall to 14-36.

Irving led the Cavaliers across the board with his 24 points, six rebounds, and eight assists while Tristan Thompson contributed 16 points and five rebounds on the night. Dion Waiters added 15 points and Marreese Speights continued to shine off the bench adding 18 points and five rebounds.
Nikola Vucevic was the leading scorer for the magic with 25 points and 13 rebounds while Aaron Afflalo added 23 points and Andrew Nicholson contributed 21. Jameer Nelson had a solid game with 15 points and 13 assists in Orlando’s losing effort.
Coach Byron Scott had positive things to say with the Cavaliers’ seven wins in their last 10 games. During the post-game press conference he stated:
“I think our guys are just starting to trust each other. I feel they bought in to what we’ve been trying to do from day one. Buying into trusting each other is a whole different story. Right now, they’re just trusting each other out there on the floor. It’s all about trying to get a victory…Guys are playing team basketball and that’s the reason I think we’ve been successful the last couple of weeks and it’s something that we have to continue to do.”
