With the loss the Cavaliers fall to 21-41 on the season while the Grizzlies improve to 41-19.
In addition to Irving’s 24 points, Alonzo Gee added 12 points on the night while Tristan Thompson added 10 points and 10 rebounds or the starters. C.J. Miles led the reserves with 13 points in Cleveland’s losing effort.

Coach Byron Scott made no excuses for the Cavaliers in the post-game press conference when he stated:
“Two words for you: third quarter. It’s that simple and that might have been the last four home games where we’ve come out like that in the third quarter. We just got lucky and got away with it in the Utah game.”
Despite leading by three at the half, the Cavaliers were outscored 32-18 in the third quarter against Memphis.
