Cleveland hopes to keep the momentum going after a sound defeat of the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. Their team effort earned them a 99-83 victory. Denver looks to extend their own three-game winning streak.
The Cavaliers face a challenging opponent in the Nuggets, especially if point guard Kyrie Irving misses the game due to illness. He is currently listed as “questionable” for tonight’s game. Irving has been red-hot, scoring at least 30 points in three of his last four games.
The game will ultimately come down to another team effort for both clubs. While the bigs battle on the glass, the backcourt will need to keep the tempo of the game up. Provided Irving plays for the Cavs, Dion Waiters and C.J. Miles will need to keep up the pace.
Cleveland proved they could dominate Atlanta; it is possible they can do it again against Denver.
