A clerk was assaulted with a Subway sandwich in a local Walmart. KWTV Channel 9 News in Oklahoma City reported on Feb. 9 a man struck the Subway with a sandwich close to the Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa.
The clerk was hit in the head with the sandwich. The police searched for the man. When the man was found, the Tulsa police called emergency services. The man appeared to be having a medical problem of some sort.
“I can't imagine hitting someone in the head with a sandwich,” Michael Wright, from Warr Acres, said. “I guess that was all he could find. Violence should never be funny, but this did make me chuckle.”
Despite being hit in the head with a sandwich, the Subway worker is not expected to press charges. The clerk wasn't hurt.
At the time of publication, the Tulsa police were making sure the suspect was getting the necessary treatment. The nature of the suspect's medical issues were also unknown at the time of publication.
