The title of the next concert in San Francisco in the eighth season of the eight-man a cappella vocal ensemble Clerestory is Prayer for a Child. The program will present folk songs from around the world, as well as pieces composed on the topics of play, animals, trees, trains, and much more. They will also present three new arrangements of popular nursery songs and rhymes by singers John Bischoff and Dan Cromeenes and friend of the ensemble Noah Luna. The program will also include the world premiere of “A Child's Prayer” by Clerestory founder Jesse Antin. For this particular “family-friendly” undertaking, which will take place on “Mother’s Day eve,” they will be joined by the Young Women’s Chorus of San Francisco.

The San Francisco performance of Prayer for a Child will be given at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church (1111 O’Farrell Street, just west of the corner of Franklin Street) on Saturday, May 10, at 8 p.m. The concert will run just over an hour with no intermission. Tickets may be purchased for $25 with a $15 rate for students and seniors. They are available online through an Eventbrite event page. In addition the Clerestory Web site has a Web page with further information about the concert.
