Clearing skies and frigid

Miami Valley , Whitewater Valley, and the I-71 corridor of Ohio/Indiana:

Synopsis,
An arctic front has slipped trough the region this evening and now high pressure will settle in over night allowing for clearing skies. Temperatures will drop below zero in serveral locations tonight. Light winds out of the West will produce wind chills as low as -17 by dawn. Tomorrow sunny skies will return to the region with temperatures only rebounding into the middle teens. With light winds, wind chills will remain low as -5 to -10 during the day. Tomorrow night high pressure will break down allowing for a system to track South of our area. This system does not look like it will phase with a Northern trough meaning it will stay weak and only give the region a coating of snow South during the night Friday night. Saturday and Sunday there will be several upper level lows that will produce light snow across the area with 1 to 4 inches of snow possible especially by Sunday evening. Behind these upper level lows a trough will dig in allowing colder air to return to the region early next week. Another system could track up from the SW on Tuesday with more snow possibilities. Cold air remains entrenched through at least next weekend.

Long range: There are signs of the weather breaking about the 18th or 19th of this month, so if you are sick of the cold and snow there is some hope for you in the long range. Now this is not saying we are done with the cold and snow just yet. Warmer air around bouts of cold can produce some of the biggest snowstorms.
