Love Target's Fashions?
Like many ladies (and gents) who live life at a speed of light, balancing it all can be exhausting. Finding great fashion should be as easy as shopping at a local bargain store. And Target is the premier fashion destination of all, combining fab outfits with laundry detergent and doggie treats. Gotta love that! So when is the best time to seek those amazing looks, when each piece can be as much as $30? (And the fashionista in us wants every piece of that Peter Pilotto collection.) Clearance is just the right moment to collect everything and love it all!
Clearance usually begins as soon as the capsule collection's run date ends. This is dependent on what stock is on hand at each Target store. The selection is much better at the start of the clearance. Sizes are in greater abundance. Take the time to peruse each discounted section, because each piece may not be as deeply discounted. The sections are as follows: 30%, 50%, and 70% off. The more in season the garment, the less the markdown. For instance, a winter clearance would likely be 70% off, while a pretty new Spring piece is probably on the 30% range.
Scour the entire clearance section. This is for someone with extra time to bargain hunt. The riches are for the patient in heart! Sometimes things may be in the wrong section or sized incorrectly. Target I must say is generally easy to shop and very organized. The collections are store specific in terms of popularity, so please try each store in the local geographic area before giving up totally!
Patience Pays Off
Instead of going in after that crazy popular capsule collection, like 3.1 Phillip Lim, try waiting until the end and hope to snag a piece of coveted fashion gold. I did this at for the Peter Pilotto Collection and found all the styles including the amazing split skirt on clearance! (This skirt is on beautiful display on the amazing Diane Kruger, see photo.) There is no better feeling than the rush of finding the best looks for a bargain.
