Clear your paper clutter at a local community shredding event

Although most households today own a paper shredder, making the time to shred old and obsolete paperwork tends not to be a priority. This can result in a backlog of paper piles that are too sensitive to put in the trash, but is too time consuming to shred in a standard household shredding machine.

Document shredding companies offer a great service to both business and residential customers by taking the burden of shredding off their hands, and typically in the Spring and Fall, a few of the local shredding companies offer free or low cost community shredding so that local residents can see how easy and secure it is to use their service.

The following is a list of a few community shredding events coming up in September in the Baltimore/Washington, DC metropolitan area. Be sure to check the shredding company's website for details on their particular event. Some events are fundraisers and may ask for a small donation. All will have rules on what they accept, what they do not accept, and bag or box limits:
