In May of 2006 Debbie Sardone, a 29 veteran of the cleaning industry, formed a foundation called Cleaning for a Reason.
Cleaning for a Reason is a non-profit organization that offers free cleaning services to women undergoing treatment for cancer in all 50 states and Canada. Maid services such as The Perfectionist Home Services in Phoenix, Zena’s Detailed Maids in Dallas and Aloha All Natural Cleaning Services in Hawaii has partnered with the foundation, Cleaning for a Reason, to relieve woman of the stress of cleaning their home allowing them to focus more on their health. This delightful experience provides relief and uplifts spirits for many women as they enter a clean house.
To enroll in services provided by Cleaning for a Reason please visit www.cleaningforareason.org. Once the Cancer Patient application has been completely filled out and submitted you will be contacted by a member of the organization who can provide you with partnering services in your area. Participating cleaning companies have pledged to provide four free housecleaning visits to each woman. Also, by visiting the website you are able to view the list of eight hundred and fifty cleaning partners, sign up to receive email newsletters and foundation updates or help make a difference by donating.
Cleaning for a Reason is also accepting online applications from maid services looking to join their program and become Partners with a heart and soul for house cleaning. Every day a new recruit is added to the list to provide free professional house cleaning to women undergoing treatment.
