For the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, do something nice for your community. The Annual Bayport - Blue Point Clean Up Day is on Sunday, April 18th. You, your family, friends or organization can clean up your little part of town.
It starts at the Bayport - Blue Point High School north parking lot on Railroad Avenue. On Sunday go there between 10am - 2pm to get your free supplies. Then head out to clean up. It's your choice where you decide to clean up. It can be Corey Beach, Glen Ciano Beach or the corner by your house that always collects garbage.
Clean Up Day is sponsored by Bayport - Blue Point Ecology Club with help from South Shore Community Organization. The cleaning supplies are donated by "Keep Islip Clean" and "Keep Brookhaven Beautiful - Anti Litter Task Force".
Call South Shore at 631-277-1365 or email at sscomh@aol.com for more information.
