Clayton County Candidates Respond to Questionnaire

The Clayton County Democratic Party gave a questionnaire to all the candidates seeking election or re-election to a School Board or Commissioner Office. Each candidate was given ample opportunity to submit their responses, and the time has come to reveal them to the voting public.

The questionnaire was designed with voters in mind. The goal was to help educate the electorate on the candidate’s viewpoints regarding issues that matter most in their community. Please review this information carefully so that an informed decision can be made prior to exercising your right to cast a ballot.

Here is just one example: When asked what ideas do you have for cost savings for the county? Richard Reagan’s response was: “Use more inmate labor.”

Remember, one person’s vote can make a difference; in exercising it, you give honor to our ancestors who inherently believed that voting was synonymous with freedom and subsequently fought and died for the right – “If 99% of us voted; the 1% would not matter,” Moveon.org.

Advanced voting continues until Friday, May 16, 2014. There will be no voting on Monday. Election Day is Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. at your local polling place.
