Clay County Fair opens with DeWayne Spaw

The Clay County Fair begins March 31st with “Dollar Day" beginning at 12 noon.  The Midway opens at 1pm and all rides are just $1.00. There will be shows and activities going on all day, from the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show to Frog Jumping, Pig Racing and Frisbee Dogs. There will also be magic shows and, of course, clowns.

Music is always a big part of the Clay County Fair. Performing on the Main Stage at 6pm is DeWayne Spaw, an Indiana native, whose first EP called Northern Born, Southern Bred says it all. Spaw, who now lives in Nashville, claims on his facebook page to speak American English, Tennessee Hillbilly English, and Real Southern English.

Spaw, who is already in the area getting ready for the fair, says, “I am so excited to be coming back to the Clay County Fair! Fairgoers can look forward to hearing some rockin' country music from the new CD, ‘Starting Today’.”  He is looking forward to performing  on Saturday the 26th at Hurricane Patty’s in Flagler Beach.

The Clay County Fairgrounds are located at 1569 County Road 315 in Green Cove Springs.
