American Idol is over, and yet still it seems more people are talking about runner-up Adam Lambert than winner Kris Allen. The latest person to ring in on the season is 2003 runner-up Clay Aiken, or "Mr. Aiken" as they knew him on 30 Rock.
On Aiken's blog, he says he only watches Idol about once a year, and described Lambert's version of "Ring of Fire" as "contrived," "awful," and "truly frightening."
Aiken also expressed disdain for the way he says Idol "showed bias" for Lambert, and focused on productions over talent.
Apparently, the irony of an Idol contestant complaining about the machine that spawned him finally dawned on Aiken, because he quickly apologized to Lambert, although not Lambert's fans.
What do you think, Idol fans? Is it sour grapes, or an accurate complaint?

Who knows what his reason was for apologizing ti Adam. But really, some people have said worse things about Adam AND Kris and they haven't apologized.
I'd suggest jealousy & arrogance may be involved! Why would Clay go out of his way to criticize a [probably gay] AI contestant... especially a very talented, attractive & charismatic performer like Adam? The opinion & his quasi apology show how foolish Mr. Aiken can be.
Not the smartest thing Clay ever did. NEVER BURN BRIDGES, and NEVER BITE THE HAND THAT FED YOU (IDOL). Adam probably just doesnt care.

Aiken who??? I think he wants to create a publicity for himself in the expense of Adam Lambert. When I surf for Adam Lambert in the net, Aiken's name popped up, along with Adam Lambert story. He got himself a news. Poor thing, Aiken needs to "gig" seriously to have serious publicity for himself.
I pal around with quite a few lambert fans and we think Clay needs finishing school or perhaps should take a few character lessons from the man himself, Adam Lambert.
Poor Clay, he doesn't understand the concept of appreciation, or humility for that matter!
Well, it sounds like someone is a little jealous. Adam is gonna be the biggest to ever of have come out of American Idol. Clay is just feeling the pressure of a new superstar breathing down his neck. And besides, Adam can sing way better than Clay, so Adam has nothing to worry about.
I didn't really care for either one of them, or winner Kris Allen as a matter of fact. Only time will tell what will actually become of Adam or Kris, winning the title doesn't automatically mean you are the best. Look what happened in previous seasons, some of the runners up ended up doing much better than the winners. Has anyone heard anything from Ruben, Fantasia, Taylor Hicks and that young girl whatshername?
Clay has just literally killed his own career. I wonder if he really knew how many people in the world loves Adam??? Definitely, not the right thing for Clay to say especially since Adam has more fans now than all AI winners put together!!!

Somehow, I think the only reason Mr. Aiken said that was because he knew he couldn't be as threatical as Adam no matter how hard he tried.
