Clay Aiken, runner up on Season 2 of American Idol, will be coming to Towson, MD to promote his latest CD, Tried & True on Tuesday, Feb. 22. This CD is the first from his new label - Decca Records (his previous 4 CD's were with RCA Records). It showcases his magical voice with songs from the '50s and '60s that Clay grew up listening to as a young boy.
During a phone interview (click video to the left to hear interview in its entirety), Clay offered only small details of what we can expect on this upcoming tour since he said it changes everyday. But the Baltimore Claymates will be happy to know that he will throw in some fan favorite songs, as well as his normal 'gag' acts that showcases his comedic side.
One thing that was off limits during the interview was about his son, Parker. Clay wants to keep that part of his life private and will not discuss him in public.
When asked if Clay would ever consider being a contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars' or 'Celebrity Apprentice,' he did not rule out those possibilities. One can only imagine how the Claymates would react and respond to his dancing.
The tour kicks off in Miami on February 10 and finishes in March. For tickets to the Baltimore show, click here.
What do you think about the possibility of Clay being on DWTS?

Thanks for the interview don't like to complain but myself & others cannot hear it.. The volume has been turned up on ourr computer & the video but no luck. If it can be fixed it would be appreciated.
Thanks again for the write up. Yes would love to see Clay DWTS or just dancing would be good. Just seeing Clay is good he is a fun person & puts on a great show.
I have heard that people cannot hear Clay too well and I put the volume up as far as I could on my recorder while the phone was on speaker. There is nothing else I can do to make his voice come through louder. I'm sorry for this, but phone interviews are much more difficult and since I am not a radio station, I do not have the advanced equipment to capture that. Again, I apologize, but if you put earphones and listen, it seems to be better. Thanks for reading and we have to make some noise to get Clay on DWTS!
Thanks for covering Clay's latest endeavors and his upcoming concert series. Wish more online news outlets would write about him since the word needs to get out! I know too many people who are surprised that they missed his concerts, not knowing he is in town...and paid advertising costs a bunch these days.
Thank you for the informative article. The only problem I had was I could hardly hear Clay at all. Maybe, that could be fixed? I would love to see him on Dancing With The Stars too. I think he would be great. I am so excited about his tour for his cd Tried and True. I will be attending the Orlando Show on Feb. 11. Can hardly wait!
Wow...a dream come true for you I know! He's not an easy interview, but you handled it GREAT! Way to go, and thanks!
Enjoyed the interview very much. Loved all his answers as he chuckled through - he sounded so happy and laid back. I'm sure his concert will be awesome and any future endeavors he decides to take will be successful as well. I, personally, would like to see him on Celebrity Apprentice. Great questions & great interview!

I was just thrilled to hear this informative yet casual interview with Clay; had to turn volume full blast but I caught his every word and that precious laugh. Great job Gloria, you are becoming quite the professional. Like many others I would definitely tune in to DWTS if Clay were to be showing us his 'moves'!!! Looking forward to the Goucher College concert! He puts on one heck of a show! Thanks for keeping us informed about OMC!
