According to a March 14 report from MMA Junkie, Bellator 94 has been completed with eight preliminary-card bouts ahead of three main-card fights that include two tournament finals, including a key tilt between Felice Herrig and Heather Clark.
Bellator 94 takes place March 28 at Sun Dome at the University of South Florida in Tampa. The main card airs on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com.
The Herrig vs Clark bout has gotten juicier in recent days, as the two have engaged in a back-and-forth war of words via Twitter.
Clark started the verbal warfare by responding to a fan via Twitter with comments about the sex appeal angle that "Lil' Bulldog" often plays up to.
"@greendervish would u want ur kids to look up to a female athlete that spreads her legs in shoots? or to one that just poses sexy but classy," Clark wrote on Twitter.
Herrig shot back with "HEATHER CLARK IS A HYPOCRITE calls me "trashy" & then posts same kinds of photos * only hers get no attention *," followed by a pic that shows Clark posing in a bikini.
Clark's argument appears to be that it's perfectly fine to pose for a sexy photo shoot in a bikini bottom, but that Herrig is trashy because she spreads her legs in shoots. Herrig seems to believe that Clark's sexy photo shoots are essentially the same style as hers, so it's wrong for her to be critical of playing up to the sexy angle.
With little under two weeks to go before their fight, this is a Twitter feud certainly worth watching.
As for the rest of the Bellator 94 card, the main event is a 155-pound Season 8 tournament final between Saad Awad (14-4 MMA, 2-1 BFC) and David Rickels (13-1 MMA, 7-1 BFC).
The co-feature is the light heavyweight tournament's final between Emanuel Newton (20-7-1 MMA, 3-1 BFC) and Mikhail Zayats (21-6 MMA, 2-0 BFC).
Also on the main card, Trey Houston (10-1 MMA, 1-1 BFC) will take on Luis Melo (28-11-3 MMA, 0-0 BFC) in a welterweight bout to open the Spike TV broadcast, and Jess Aguilar meets Patricia Vidonic.
