Classics on 5th Avenue in Naples (Photos)

It started as a gathering of Ferraris on posh 5th Avenue in Naples….Florida’s version of Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive. The city fathers closed 5th Avenue to normal traffic and assorted models of the legendary Ferrari marque lined both sides of the street.

Crowds of eager car enthusiasts and casual observers descended on the event with cameras in hand. The organizing Ferrari club decided to expand the event and invite other high-end makes. Aston-Martin, Bentley, BMW, Maserati, Porsche and Rolls-Royce were among the invited guests. The event became a major draw during “snow bird” season.

What was once known as “Ferraris on 5th Avenue” is now called “Cars on 5th Avenue.” It is now a cruise-in with 400 cars packed into a six-block long, palm tree lined street. There is an open invitation to custom cars, street rods, replicars, classics and anything mildly interesting and/or expensive with four wheels. Food and accessory vendors compete for space as new car dealers display their latest offerings on the side streets.

We concentrated on the true classic cars on display and have attached a few images for your consideration.
