The Classic Suburban Conference, which will disband after the 2013-14 school year will be back the folling season under a new name, the Metro West Conference.
According to twincities.com, the seven current Classic Suburban schools, North St. Paul, South St. Paul, Henry Sibley, Simley, Hill-Murray, Tartan and Mahtomedi will be part of the Metro East. The eighth member will be Hastings, coming from the Suburban East Conference.
As for Richfield and St. Thomas Academy, Richfield will be joining another newly formed conference, the Metro West and St. Thomas Academy, which is still looking for a conference until the Minnesota State High School League places the Mendota Heights school in one.
