Subaru is very popular right now, but not many people knew about Subaru ten, twenty, or thirty years ago. Subaru used to be that car everyone thought was ugly but very reliable. Now, Subaru has a completely new design and is considered cool and appealing. Taking a look through Subaru's vintage propaganda, the main emphasis on quality, dependability, and capability are seen throughout. The recent Subaru trend didn't just happen over night, or by luck. It happened because Subaru has been building quality vehicles that last for many years, at reasonable prices the average consumer can afford.

Take the modern Subaru Impreza for example. It's all-wheel drive and turbocharged engine when modified can run on the track and drag strip with top dollar exotics. A quicker 0-60 time when fully built than most V8's, the little four cylinder boxer engine is very potent when combined with a larger turbocharged and fuel system than stock. The late model STi engines and transmissions are practically bullet proof and can be modified past 400 all wheel horsepower with out problems. This is why many enthusiasts choose the Impreza. Versatility and capability, combined in an affordable package!
I drive a Subaru because I wanted a vehicle I could build into a toy, and enjoy the same acceleration of top dollar exotics. At the same time, use it off road in the Florida sand trails while still holding capability for utmost track performance. My Subaru has taken me 30 miles into the Florida jungles in the morning and later that day kept up with a Camaro Z28 as we raced to 130 mph on a private airfield. Subaru makes awesome vehicles that have withstood the tests of time. Let's take a trip through the various time periods of Subaru, and watch some classic JDM footage!
