This Thursday, July 3, TCM will be airing a Mae West marathon of five of her movies. The classic sex symbol was never afraid of pushing boundaries in cinema, that's why she was always so entertaining to viewers. This five movie marathon will be taking place at 8 pm ET.

Mae West starred in this 1933 film where she played Tira, a circus slideshow entertainer, who likes to swindle men out of there money. In the film she meets Cary Grant's character, a millionaire that might have the heart of Tira. This movie was Mae West's third movie and Wesley Ruggles directed the movie.
"She Done Him Wrong," is a 1933 movie that starred both Cary Grant and Mae West are in the cast. It was directed by Lowell Sherman. One of Mae West's best films that was even based off of her successful Broadway play, "Diamond Lili."
"Belle of the Nineties," is a 1934 that Leo McCarey directed. The film was based off of Mae West's original story, "It Ain't No Sin." Roger Pryor, Johnny Mack Brown, Katherine DeMille, and Duke Ellinton" starred in the movie with West.
"My Little Chickadee," is a comedy western that starred both West and W.C. Fields. It was Edward F. Cline who directed the movie. The movie is about a small town seductress who romances a masked bandit, but then is forced to marry a con-artist.
The last movie that will airing on the station is "The Heat's On." "The Heat's On," is a 1943 movie that was directed by Gregory Ratoff. The movie starred with West, Lester Allen, Lloyd Bridges, Victor Moore, and Mary Roche. It's about a would-be censor's brother that produces a Broadway show with a controversial star.
