The ultimate cruise-in takes place every February under the sheltering palms along the exclusive 5th Avenue shopping and dining district in Naples, Florida. Over 10,000 spectators enjoyed Chamber of Commerce weather this year as they admired and photographed more than 400 vehicles on display.

While Ferrari is always featured, other exotics and classics included are: Alfa-Romeo, Auburn, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Corvette, Ford, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. Sprinkled among the exotics and classics was a good assortment of muscle cars, customs, street rods, hot rods and even a couple of rat rods that looked out-of-place among all the highly polished cars and expensive shops.

True classics were rare. Most of the cars are true “drivers” but mostly on perfect weather weekends. Below is a list of significant classic vehicles that caught our attention:

  • 1931 Ford Woodie
  • 1936 Auburn 852
  • 1948 Packard Super Eight Convertible
  • 1955 Studebaker President
  • 1956 Austin-Healey 100M
  • 1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS
  • 1970 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3
  • 1990 Ferrari F40
  • 1999 Panoz AIV Roadster
  • 2000 Lotus 340R

Many spectators stayed for the 3:00 p.m. mass exodus when all the cars are fired-up and ushered out into snowbird traffic. Proceeds from the event are directed to the Special Needs Children’s Fund.
