Class A/B Maine McDonald's high school senior boys all star roster

BANGOR-- Zach Gilpin has won a state championship, been selected as a semi-finalist for Mr. Maine basketball, scored over 1000 career points, and this Saturday will be leading the Hampden Broncos into their state championship game against the Portland Bulldogs.

Gilpin was also selected by the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches (MABC) to participate in the class A/B 2014 Maine McDonald's High School Senior All-Star Basketball Game.

Gilpin is averaging 23 points per game for the undefeated Broncos.

Gilpin's teammate Isaiah Bess will be joining him on the class A/B east all star team.

Other members of the class A/B east team include - Andrew Cartwright (Nokomis), who averaged 24 points per game this season for the Warriors.

Colin Morse (Camden Hills) averaged 20 points and seven rebounds per game for the Windjammers.

Tyler Thayer (Hermon) averaged over 21 points per game and will be remembered for years to come for his performance in leading the number eight seeded Hawks to a quarterfinal upset over Oceanside.

Jordan Holmes (Messalonskee), Xavier Lewis (Bangor), Trevor Lovely (Winslow), Jonathan Phelps (MDI), and Isaiah Stone-Patterson (Oceanside).

The following are high school boys basketball players from class A and B east that were named to the All-State Academic team.

Chandler Crans (Camden Hills), Samuel Keene (Foxcroft Academy), Eric Van Der Karr (Messalonskee).

The McDonald's senior all star games will be played at Husson University on March 8th.
