Class A 2014 girls basketball tournament schedule

The Edward Little girls basketball team has earned the number one seed in the class A tournament.

The Red Eddies will play the winner of the Mt. Blue/Lewiston preliminary game in the quarterfinals.

Edward Little defeated Mt. Blue 42-26 on December 17th, and 56-43 on January 31st. The Red Eddies also swept Lewiston in the regular season.

Lawrence, Oxford Hills, and Cony also finished in the top four.

Oxford Hills handed the Red Eddies their lone loss (52-41) on January 7th.

Cony and Brunswick should be an interesting match-up. The Rams and Dragons split during the regular season.

Prelim- Tuesday, February 11th

  • G1- #9 Lewiston 37 (5-13) @ #8 Mt. Blue 39 (8-10)- 6 p.m.

Quarterfinals- Friday, February 14th- @ Augusta Civic Center

  • G2- #3 Oxford Hills 47 (14-4) VS #6 Skowhegan 43 (11-7)- 3 p.m.- 4 OT
  • G3- #2 Lawrence 42 (16-2) VS #7 Messalonskee 46 (11-7)- 4:30 p.m.- OT
  • G4- #4 Cony 57 (10-6) VS #5 Brunswick 35 (10-8)- 7 p.m.
  • G5- #1 Edward Little 47 (17-1) VS Mt. Blue 45 - 8:30 p.m.

Semifinals- Wednesday, February 19th- @ Augusta Civic Center

  • G6- Oxford Hills 35 VS Messalonskee 33 - 2:30 p.m.
  • G7- Cony 43 VS Edward Little 61- 4 p.m.

Regional final- Friday, February 21st- @ Augusta Civic Center

  • G8- Oxford Hills 54 VS Edward Little 34- 7:05 p.m.

State championship- Saturday, March 1st @ Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland

  • G9- Oxford Hills VS McAuley - 4 p.m.
