A perfect game by Dylan Clark at AMF Bradenton Lanes and a trio of 700-plus series by women highlight this week's report of top-score performances from the seven bowling centers in the Sarasota-Manatee-Charlotte County area.

Competing in the Jeffcoat Blueprinting League, Clark -- who has averaged better than 200 for several years in the league -- opened with a 244 game, then followed with 300 and 192 to complete a 736 series. The 22-year-old righthander had posted a perfect game only 11 days earlier, in the final-five rolloff of the 700-Plus Tournament at AMF Venice Lanes.

" I've been bowling really good lately and shooting 700 nearly every week," said Clark, who now has four certified 300 games to his credit, and he has a lifetime high series of 758, rolled earlier this season.

Renae Gross and Wendy Aldridge each went well over the 700 mark in league play at Treasure Lanes, while Ashley Schwartz turned in her big set at Bowland Port Charlotte.

Gross, averaging 209 in the Tuesday Morning Ladies League at Treasure Lanes, blasted games of 266, 256 and 246 en route to a 768 series. And in the Guys & Dolls League at the same center, Aldridge upped her average to 200 with a 728 series on games of 215, 225 and 288.

Schwartz pounded out consistent scores of 235, 234 and 235 for a 704 series in the Thursday Mixed League at Bowland Port Charlotte, where she carries a 190 average.

Mark Hirsch rolled a game 102 pins over his average with a 263 during competition in the Environmental A/C League at AMF Gulf Gate Lanes.

In far-over-average series: Ray Sheppard rolled a 163-over 718 that was concluded by a 278 game in the Aero Sol Tuesday Men's League at Treasure Lanes; David Larry posted a 152-over 716 in the Guys & Dolls League at Treasure Lanes; Bob Cunningham fired a 159-over 705 in the Honest A/C Mixed League at AMF Venice; Alex Abel had a 156-over 621 in the Surfin Plumbers League at Sarasota Lanes; and Jerry Tucciarone III had a 149-over 653 in the Environmental A/C League at AMF Gulf Gate.
