The Infernal Devices will be completed with the March 19 release of “Clockwork Princess” but author Cassandra Clare still has much to share within her Shadowhunter Chronicles series.’ The Dark Artifices takes place in modern day L.A. after the events of The Mortal Instruments. Clare shared their titles today via Tumblr.
The first Dark Artifices book one is set for a 2015 release. The book titles are “Lady Midnight,” “Prince of Shadows,” and “The Queen of Air and Darkness.” Clare also said that she will continue to write in the Shadowhunter Chronicles after The Dark Artifices. I have a plan for a series after TDA even — because there is a specific kind of creative enjoyment in taking a world that doesn’t need to be re-introduced to readers and ringing changes on it,” says Clare.
Here is what we know about The Dark Artifices so far.
Clare is also writing a Middle Grade series with Holly Black called the Magisterium. “It’s also fantasy, and also in our world, but the magic system is very different: it’s elemental magic with five elements, and a magical history based in part on the robber baron era of American history,” explains Clare.
One thing is for certain; we will continue to read books by bestselling author Cassandra Clare for a long time.
