Clare offers incentive for Trevor Project donations

Mortal Instruments author Cassandra Clare is giving fans a good reason to donate to The Trevor Project. Fans who donate will be entered to win a “City of Bones” book signed by the cast of ‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” as well as an autographed picture of actor Godfrey Gao.

To the best of Clare’s knowledge, this is the only book signed by the cast. There can only be one winner for the book but Clare is giving everyone who donates a snippet from the upcoming ‘Bane Chronicles.’ Fans have until April to donate and spread the word.

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth,” says The Trevor Project website.

Clare took time to share some of her fan mail that shows the effect her books have had on some of her fans. “Thank you to everyone who has ever written to me, or come to see me, or messaged me to share their stories about Magnus and Alec, or Aline and Helen. It means more than I can say. I know I have a lot of learning to do in terms of writing characters of diverse sexuality, but I do love these characters and it means a great deal that other people love them too,” she says on her Tumblr account.

Help Clare spread the word about this amazing organization. The Mortal Instruments fandom is a powerful one so let’s use that power to make a difference.
